About the RoleThey are looking for a Design – Visual Identity Specialist to join on a freelance basis for an immediate 2-week booking
, with strong potential to extend into a longer-term engagement (up to 6 months).
This is a craft-led design role focused on building distinctive, flexible and well-structured visual identity systems. The successful candidate will help define how brands look, feel, and behave across campaigns, content, digital, social, motion, and print.
This role extends beyond logo design. It focuses on building cohesive visual identity systems that work consistently across every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of visual identities from concept through to rollout.
- Design logo systems, typographic hierarchies, colour frameworks and core brand assets.
- Create comprehensive, practical brand guidelines that ensure clarity and consistency.
- Translate strategic positioning into coherent visual expression.
- Develop campaign look & feel that aligns with overarching brand systems.
- Ensure identity systems flex effectively across digital, social, motion, film & print.
- Collaborate closely with Copy to align verbal and visual identity.
- Present design rationale clearly and confidently to internal teams and clients.
- Support implementation to ensure design integrity is maintained through production.
- Uphold high standards of craft and consistency across all deliverables.
- 5–8+ years’ experience in brand or visual identity design within a creative agency or design studio.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong identity systems rather than standalone campaign work.
- Deep understanding of typography, layout, grid systems and brand architecture.
- Experience building brand guidelines and scalable design frameworks.
- Confidence working across both foundational brand identity and campaign execution.
- Strong awareness of how brands operate across social, digital and motion environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craft.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions through strategic thinking.
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Figma is desirable).
