About the role

This exciting position within Cherry will involve overseeing strategic global publicity campaigns across the Cherry roster of music and entertainment clients, crossing into other areas including acting and sport. The right candidate will be able to bring a strategic, layered and creative approach to all PR campaigns across all digital and print platforms and have a broad knowledge of how social media influences strategy.

The right team player will also be able to influence the social and cultural world the talent occupies. A team player and good communicator with a broad contact base in music, fashion, brands, entertainment and the arts is important as well as a proven track record of breaking artists from inception to managing the profile of established global talent.

Flexible working 9.30am – 5.30pm Tues‑Thurs in the office, Mon / Fri WFH.

About the team

This role forms part of the passionate and dedicated Cherry team. You will work closely with the existing publicity team to intersect the brand, PR and creative conversations as well as working alongside Cherry’s umbrella sports agency, The Sports PR Company. In this unique and highly specialist role, you will join a passionate group of like‑minded, collaborative and culturally curious individuals who have a passion for music, sport, fashion and entertainment.

What

you’ll do
  • Construct and strategise creative global PR campaigns across the Cherry roster.
  • Create and manage a variety of communication materials, including press releases, media and new client pitches, social media content, and internal communications.
  • Broad personal network of journalists, industry professionals, cultural influencers, creatives, event organisers and brands, globally.
  • Have good knowledge and contacts across social media platforms and podcasts playing into visual media campaign strategy.
  • Oversee crisis communications, preparing responses and managing sensitive issues that may impact a Cherry client’s reputation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Publicity, Sport PR Co and leadership) to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Close cooperation with artist management, record labels, independent teams and agents to ensure integration of PR activity within wider artist campaigns.
  • Regular and succinct internal campaign strategy reporting, both verbally in meetings and in weekly summaries.
  • Clearly communicating PR activity to artists’ management via organised and regular reporting.
  • Be adept at working across different time zones and attending out of hours gigs, promo and meetings with management and labels based abroad / on tour.
  • A team player who can integrate well into the growing Cherry team, mentoring and managing where needed.
Who you are
  • 4+ years of experience in communications, brand partnerships, public relations, or related roles, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and crisis management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for various audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with partners, stakeholders and co‑workers.
  • Experience in managing cross‑functional teams and working in collaborative environments.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
  • Creative and innovative ideas to plan strategic and memorable talent publicity campaigns.
  • Have an interest in music, the arts, fashion, sport and how these industries connect.
  • A team player with a willingness to mentor.
