Role OverviewWe’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who brings energy, curiosity and heart to everything they do. You’ll play a key role in shaping how Wahaca shows up across our restaurants, campaigns and digital channels - helping keep our brand distinctive, consistent and full of life across 14 sites and beyond.
You’ll work as part of a close-knit in-house team, collaborating closely with marketing, food, operations and senior stakeholders to deliver creative work that people genuinely connect with. You’ll balance strong creative thinking with hands‑on delivery - you know what great looks like, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to make it happen.

What You’ll Do- Own and deliver creative work
You’ll take ownership of design projects from brief through to final delivery, producing high-quality work across print and digital channels. This includes in‑restaurant assets, campaign creative, social and CRM content, event materials, menus & seasonal specials and internal communications.
You’ll balance creative concepting with detailed art working, ensuring everything is delivered to a high standard, on time and ready for real-world use.
- Shape brand storytelling
You’ll use design to tell cohesive, engaging stories across in‑restaurant and digital touchpoints, ensuring creative outputs strengthen the Wahaca brand while staying true to our values, tone of voice and visual identity. Drawing on the brand’s origin and namesake, Oaxaca, you’ll shape considered, impactful creative. You’ll champion attention to detail and consistency, raising the creative standard across everything we produce.
- Direct photography and visual content
You’ll help shape the creative direction of food and lifestyle photography, working closely with photographers, stylists and creatives to deliver strong, on‑brand imagery that works across multiple channels.
- Be a brand guardian
You’ll act as a guardian of the Wahaca brand, applying and upholding brand guidelines across all outputs and touchpoints, while interpreting them thoughtfully across different formats and environments.
- Collaborate across the business
You’ll work closely with teams across marketing, food, people and operations to understand briefs, objectives and timelines. You’ll help shape creative direction from the outset, collaborate with external creatives and suppliers where needed and ensure work is delivered clearly and thoughtfully.
- 4+ years’ design experience, ideally within hospitality, retail or a consumer-facing brand
- A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating senior-level design craft and end-to-end project ownership
- Proven experience delivering creative projects from brief through to final execution
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition and brand systems
- Excellent knowledge of print and digital production, file formats and specifications
- Experience working with external creatives, photographers and printers
- A creative and strategic thinker with a strong marketing mindset
- Passionate about food, restaurants and culture
- Confident senior designer with a sharp eye for detail and storytelling
- Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
- Open to feedback, proactive and solutions-focused
- Highly organised, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Motivated by working in a values-led, planet-conscious business
