We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Social Media Lead to spearhead the social direction, strategy and execution for Menswear at Marks & Spencer. This is a unique opportunity to shape the voice of M&S Menswear at the UK’s biggest and fastest growing retailer across social platforms, bringing our brand to life with bold, creative, strong-story telling and trend-driven content, across Instagram as well as Facebook, Tik Tok and Youtube.
You will lead the creation and curation of menswear content, working closely with our in-house creative teams, manage influencer and ambassador partnerships, help develop story-telling narratives along-side our PR team and oversee the growth of a dedicated menswear social channel. This role requires someone with a sharp eye for fashion—particularly menswear—strong editorial instincts and story‑telling skills, and an understanding of what engages a menswear audience across platforms.
Why M&S?
At Marks & Spencer, we’re building the future of fashion retail. Our menswear is evolving—and we need someone with the energy, insight, and creativity to help tell that story. You’ll join a passionate team that values bold ideas, smart strategy, and social‑first thinking.
Some evening or weekend work and travelling may be required for shoots or events.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.
What’s in it for you
Being a part of M&S is exactly that – playing your part to bring the magic of M&S to our customers every day. We’re an inclusive, dynamic, exciting, and ever evolving business built on doing the right thing and bringing exceptional quality, value, service to every customer, whenever, wherever, and however they want to shop with us.
Here are some of the benefits we offer that make working for M&S just that little bit more special…
- After completing your probationary period, you’ll receive 20% colleague discount across all M&S products and many of our third‑party brands for you and a member of your household.
- Competitive holiday entitlement with the potential to buy extra holiday days!
- Discretionary bonus schemes awarded based on how you achieve your personal objectives and our performance as a business.
- A generous Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and Life Assurance.
- A dedicated welcome to our teams with a tailored induction and a wide range of training programmes to develop your skills.
- Amazing perks and discounts via our M&S Choices portal to maximise your financial and personal wellbeing.
- Industry‑leading parental, adoption, and neonatal policies, providing support and flexibility for your family.
- Access to a fantastic range of wellbeing support for all colleagues including access to our 24/7 Virtual GP and PAM Assist to support you and your family.
- A charity volunteer day to support a charity or cause you're passionate about through a dedicated day away from work.
What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Develop and execute a menswear‑specific social content strategy in line with the broader M&S brand and marketing objectives, alongside the PR team developing strong story‑telling for our product.
- Create strategy plans and content calendars that reflect seasonal fashion trends, campaigns, and brand moments.
- Identify, brief, and manage relationships with fashion influencers and work closely with the Celebrity Ambassador Lead ensuring best‑in‑class brand ambassador content with talent who aligns with our menswear positioning.
- Attend and contribute to creative shoots for social‑first menswear content.
- Develop PR‑worthy moments and narratives with the PR team with strong social amplification.
- Work cross‑functionally with buying, merchandising, creative, PR, digital, and e‑commerce teams building strong relationships and putting into place strong WOW.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Proven experience in a senior social media role within a fashion, lifestyle, or retail brand—menswear experience essential.
- A strong creative background with experience briefing, producing, and editing…
