The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Events Operations Executive to support the delivery of our global portfolio of in-person, hybrid and digital events.

This is a broad and hands‑on role within the wider events operations team, supporting Event Managers in delivering world‑class experiences for our audiences, partners and speakers. Alongside operational responsibilities, the role will provide technical audio‑visual support across digital and hybrid formats, ensuring seamless production standards that reflect the FT’s reputation for quality.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in international events, digital production and video, with the confidence to take initiative and contribute creative ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Event Managers in the planning and delivery of in‑person, hybrid and digital events
  • Liaise professionally with speakers, sponsors and clients
  • Set up and maintain pre‑event webpages and sponsor hubs
  • Handle guest databases and registration systems
  • Run digital round tables and webinars for VIP clients
  • Order, produce and assemble event branding and materials
  • Coordinate shipment of materials for domestic and international events
  • Provide on‑site and virtual technical support, including audio‑visual setup
  • Support the recording and editing of digital and hybrid events
  • Assist with live streaming and gallery/graphics operation where required
Required Skills and Experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders and clients
  • Proactive approach with the ability to show initiative and solve problems effectively
  • High standard of video production knowledge
  • Strong understanding of production methods, including filming and editing
  • Solid understanding of broadcast/DSLR cameras, audio technologies and basic lighting
  • Experience using professional video editing software and exporting in multiple formats
  • Familiarity with live streaming platforms and gallery technologies
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally where required
  • Experience supporting international events
  • Creative approach to filming and post‑production
  • Experience working in media, publishing or live event environments
