Being a truly creative creature with the ability to seamlessly transition from one design style to another, depending on the project, will make you an ideal fit for our Graphic Designer position.
As the Graphic Designer at SomX you will hop from client project to client project across multiple industries such as, Healthtech, Biotech, Medtech & Pharma, covering companies from start-ups to large corporate businesses, and being the guardian of internal SomX brands (SomX, Healthtech Pigeon, Biotech Dodo & more).
SomX is a communications and creative agency for Healthtech, Biotech and Pharma. We blend PR, content, design, events and media production to help innovators earn attention, build trust and grow.
What you’ll do- You will translate client brands into a suite of collateral, including social media graphics to infographics, pitch decks, web designs and even whitepapers to be published on multiple platforms. across all our clients and SomX-owned brands.
- You will act as the in-house guardian of client brands, ensuring the quality and consistency of all assets we produce on behalf of clients, whilst continuously looking for ways to push our clients brands forwards.
- You will proactively continue development of the brand identities of SomX, including proposing regular updates to brand collateral, and seeking ways to bring in new techniques and elements into assets.
- You will need to flex your project management skills to ensure that all projects are running to plan. Being able to communicate in advance to account team members if timelines need to change.
- You will work collaboratively with the rest of the SomX team to improve and implement client deliverables and processes.
- You will evangelise the work you are doing across the agency, keeping everyone informed and excited about the great work you and the wider design team are doing.
- You are a creative thinker that lives and breathes design and enjoys adapting to different design styles depending on the project objectives. Being able to demonstrate an experience or understanding of designing for a range of different types of content and channels, including social media, pitch decks, whitepapers, infographics and brochures.
- You love learning and have an interest in the healthcare, science and/or technology industries, helping you soak up all the knowledge you can get your hands on.
- You are comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail & autonomy, demonstrating independent thinking to ensure you deliver projects end-to-end against deadlines.
- You enjoy throwing yourself into unique design challenges, demonstrating a problem-solving attitude, but know when to be a team player and ask for help by looping in support from the wider team.
- You have an exceptional eye for detail, layout, and design, obsessed with delivering incredible work and willingness to go the extra mile to achieve optimal results.
- You thrive in an environment where you balance multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines with precision and speed, adapting quickly and planning ahead.
- Adobe Creative Suite and Canva are to you what a scalpel and forceps are to a surgeon; having the confidence to leverage them to deliver precision and excellence in your work.
Bonus points for these!
- You have experience with web design platforms and content management systems (our preference is Webflow, but you might be confident in Wordpress, Squarespace etc.)
- You have done bits of photography, videography & video editing, whether that's with a phone camera or DSLR.
- You have some experience, interest or curiosity for the healthcare, science and/or technology industries will help you settle in and excel in this role.
- Integrated by default – PR, content, design, events and media production in one team.
