About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Audio Technician to join our operations team working on a late shift of 5pm to 2am Monday - Friday. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in Pro Tools, advanced experience with complex audio conforms, professional mixing skills, and a deep understanding of audio quality evaluation and industry standards.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality audio assets across a range of content workflows, ensuring technical accuracy, creative integrity, and compliance with platform and broadcast specifications. Experience working with Dolby Atmos workflows is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex audio conforms using editorial references and supplied source material.
  • Resolve sync, structural, and timeline issues between picture and audio.
  • Prepare clean, organised Pro Tools sessions for mixing and delivery.
  • Maintain consistent session structure, naming conventions, and version control.
Audio Evaluation & Quality Control
  • Carry out detailed technical and subjective audio evaluations.
  • Identify and resolve issues including loudness, phase, clipping, distortion, and channel mapping problems.
  • Validate audio deliverables against client specifications and industry standards.
  • Provide clear technical feedback and documentation where required.
  • Mix dialogue, music, and effects to a professional standard.
  • Apply corrective and creative processing to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with loudness and delivery specifications across platforms.
  • Work with stereo, surround, and immersive audio formats including Dolby Atmos.
Technical Standards & Workflow Support
  • Apply knowledge of relevant industry standards and delivery requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of audio workflows and operational processes.
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex technical issues across projects.
  • Work closely with editorial, operations, and quality control teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, quality-driven working environment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Significant professional experience using Pro Tools in a post‑production, broadcast, or media operations environment.
  • Strong experience in audio evaluation and technical QC.
  • Professional mixing experience (dialogue, music, and effects).
  • Hands‑on experience working with Dolby Atmos workflows and deliverables.
  • Excellent understanding of audio signal flow, routing, and session structure.
  • Strong knowledge of industry delivery standards and technical specifications.
  • Exceptional critical listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with in large‑scale media operations or digital content supply chains.
  • Familiarity with loudness analysis and automated QC tools.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
  • Experience delivering audio for streaming platforms or international distribution.
  • Exposure to multi‑language or localisation workflows.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Pro Tools editing, automation, routing, and session management.
  • Dolby Atmos session preparation and mixing workflows.
  • Understanding of loudness standards and modern delivery specifications.
  • Knowledge of professional audio file formats and codecs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability.
