Job Description & How to Apply Below
Join a dynamic production team as a Freelance Video Editor for an innovative, AI-driven feature film project. This contract role is based in London and requires in-person collaboration from July to October 2026. The project, a political satire set during a fictional summit of world leaders, blends traditional filmmaking with cutting-edge AI video generation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping extensive footage—both AI-generated and live-action—into a compelling, emotionally resonant narrative.
Working closely with the director, you will be central to the creative process, ensuring the final film achieves its artistic vision and technical excellence.
- Assemble and edit large volumes of AI-generated and traditional video footage into a cohesive feature-length film
- Collaborate closely with the director to refine narrative structure and emotional impact
- Manage complex post-production workflows, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones
- Integrate VFX, colour grading, and motion graphics as needed to enhance visual storytelling
- Oversee the technical quality of the final product, maintaining high standards throughout the editing process
- Adapt to evolving project needs and incorporate feedback efficiently
- Ensure all work aligns with the creative vision and production schedule
- Professional experience editing feature films or television projects
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong storytelling instincts and ability to craft engaging narratives from diverse footage sources
- Experience with AI-generated content and familiarity with related platforms is highly desirable
- Fluency in Russian is required
- Directorial experience, VFX, colour grading, and motion graphics skills are preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced production environments
- Must be available for in-person work in London for the duration of the contract
