Editorial/Fashion Photographer Intern/Volunteer

Hasana, Inc. is an accessible luxury brand offering custom, hand‑made items ranging from contemporary to classic, featuring high‑end men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. We are looking for a student in the Chicago Loop area to join our studio team for an unpaid internship. This role provides on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and exposure to all aspects of fashion and studio production.

NOTE:

This is an unpaid volunteer/internship position.

Responsibilities
  • Work in the studio team alongside stylists, taking digital product stills for Felix Magazine.
  • Ensure all products are lit correctly, efficiently, and creatively, in accordance with Luxe Media guidelines.
  • Produce high‑quality, consistently beautiful images with correct exposure and colour consistency.
  • Accurately archive images for easy access by other Luxe Media departments.
  • Prepare sets, check equipment functionality, set up lighting, and keep detailed daily shoot records.
  • Meet daily and weekly deadlines to prepare new website material.
  • Retouch, crop, and upload digital images as needed while maintaining file size specifications.
  • Name and maintain digital asset file structure and organization.
  • Perform quality assurance on all images.
  • Provide care and upkeep of all studio equipment, props, and supplies.
  • Work well within a team, under pressure, with a flexible attitude, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Present information to top management, public groups, or other stakeholders internally and externally.
Qualifications
  • A passion for women’s economic opportunities.
  • Must be a full or part‑time student, working toward a degree, eligible for school credit, and able to commit 2–3 days a week for three months.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously.
  • Previous experience in a studio environment.
  • Proven experience with digital cameras and lighting.
  • High technical proficiency in Photoshop, Capture One, and networked computers.
  • Strong understanding of colour correction and image constraints.
  • Detail oriented, creative, and integrity, honesty, openness, and willingness to operate as a team player.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks.
