Purpose of the Role
The Digital Designer (Motion) is a core production role within the Creative team, responsible for translating campaign and brand briefs into polished, channel‑ready assets across all touchpoints. You will work across the full brand portfolio, owning output for multiple brands simultaneously, and bring a strong technical foundation in motion and animation to a team that is actively expanding its capabilities in this area.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Execution
- Translate campaign briefs and art direction into high‑quality, channel‑ready creative assets across web, CRM, organic social, paid social, and print.
- Produce assets across the full CL Hub and Value Eyewear brand portfolio, adapting executions to each brand's visual identity and audience.
- Transcreate and adapt assets for multiple EMEA markets, maintaining creative integrity across languages and formats.
- Support both campaign and BAU work streams, managing shifting priorities without losing quality or attention to detail.
Animation and Motion
- Lead on animation and motion graphics across the team; this is the primary specialisation we are hiring for.
- Produce animated assets across all relevant channels: looping GIFs, animated display ads, motion graphics for social, and web animations.
- Bring existing static campaigns to life through motion; work with the Senior Creative Lead to define how motion supports brand expression and develop repeatable motion and animation templates that improve team output speed without sacrificing quality.
- Stay current on animation tools and techniques; share knowledge and raise the team's motion capability over time.
AI-Augmented Production
- Use AI tools actively in your day‑to‑day workflow, for asset generation, image manipulation, adaptation, and ideation.
- Bring an experimentation mindset: test tools, document what works, and share findings with the team.
- Relevant tools include but are not limited to Midjourney, ChatGPT, Runway, Adobe Firefly, Kling, or equivalent.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with content, CRM, and brand teams to ensure creative assets are fit for purpose across all channels.
- Collaborate with the Senior Creative Lead and Creative Team Manager throughout the briefing, review, and sign‑off process.
- Manage your own workload through the team's project management tools (Click Up, Jira, or equivalent); be organised, proactive, and transparent about capacity.
Quality and Consistency
- Ensure all creative output is responsive, accessible, and consistent with brand guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of craft across all deliverables, including work produced at pace or volume.
- Use data and creative performance insight to inform decisions and understand what is working.
- Proven experience as a digital designer in an e‑commerce, agency, or in‑house creative environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating multi‑channel digital design across web, CRM, and social formats.
- Adobe Creative Suite;
Photoshop and Illustrator are non‑negotiable, After Effects is required for this role. - Proficiency in Figma for design and handover.
- Demonstrable animation and motion graphics experience: GIFs, looping social assets, display ads, motion graphics.
- Hands‑on experience using AI tools in a production context; not theoretical familiarity, actual workflow use.
- Ability to work across multiple brands simultaneously, adapting visual execution to different identities and markets.
- Strong time management and self‑organisation; comfortable managing your own output in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to craft.
- Experience in fashion, eyewear, health, or direct‑to‑consumer e‑commerce.
- Familiarity with HTML5 or CSS animation for web contexts.
- Experience with Runway, Kling, or other AI video and motion generation tools.
- Understanding of performance marketing creative requirements (Meta, Google, programmatic).
