Grade C/D | Permanent | 35 hours per week plus overtime

Salary range: £38,080 – £49,140 per annum (inclusive of all allowances)

Overview

Join our Digital, Production & Venue Support department to support students, staff and visiting artists across music, drama, production arts, recording, broadcast, live streaming and digital content. The role involves varied, creative and technically ambitious work in a professional environment equipped with SSL and Neve studios, Dolby Atmos capability, a fully equipped TV studio, camera and grip inventory, and high‑quality microphones and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Record Atmos‑native sessions in orchestras, big band amplification, and other audio production tasks
  • Vision mix classical performances and support filmed drama work
  • Edit student outputs and master portfolio material
  • Assist with live and digital projects across Guildhall venues, studios, and teaching spaces
  • Operate and maintain technical equipment, including SSL, Neve, Dolby Atmos and TV studio gear
Qualifications
  • Strong technical judgement, curiosity, generosity, calmness under pressure and genuine interest in supporting outstanding creative work
  • Experience in sound engineering, studio engineering, mastering, vision mixing, camera operation, broadcast or AV systems
  • Willingness to broaden technical practice across sound, video, recording, broadcast and live performance environments
