You'll be joining the content team behind one of the UK's biggest and fastest-growing commercial radio networks. Greatest Hits Radio reaches more than 7 million listeners across the UK and is home to some of the country's most loved broadcasters, including Ken Bruce, Kate Thornton and Simon Mayo. Our ambition is simple: to become the UK's number one commercial radio network for both reach and listening hours.

We create content that is entertaining, authentic, relatable, and built around the music and personalities our audiences love. Working closely with teams across Programming, Social Video, Marketing, Digital and Commercial, you'll be part of a highly motivated and collaborative team that is constantly looking for new ways to grow and innovate.

The difference you will make

As Head of Content (Daytime), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Greatest Hits Radio. Your immediate priority will be leading the development, launch and ongoing production of Zoe Ball in the Afternoon, one of the network's most high-profile new shows launching in September 2026. Working alongside the Network Content Director and senior leadership team, you'll help define and deliver the station's content strategy across on‑air, digital, social and on‑demand platforms.

You'll inspire and develop producers, collaborate with presenters and stakeholders across Bauer, and ensure every piece of content connects with our 44‑59 year old audience while supporting both audience and commercial growth ambitions.

Your role

You’ll lead the planning, production and delivery of outstanding daytime content across Greatest Hits Radio while helping drive the wider content strategy of the network.

  • Direct responsibility for the daily production and delivery of Zoe Ball in the Afternoon (Monday–Friday, 1pm–4pm)
  • Working with the Network Content Director to shape and deliver the Greatest Hits Radio content strategy
  • Leading the planning and execution of daily on‑air output across the network

  • Working closely with presenters, talent and agents to maximise content opportunities
  • Using audience insight, RAJAR data and analytics to inform content decisions and performance improvements
  • Supporting commercial campaigns, partnerships and branded content opportunities
  • Ensuring the highest editorial, compliance and brand standards across all output
The skills you will bring
  • Significant senior‑level experience leading content within a radio, audio or broadcast environment
  • A strong understanding of what makes compelling content for a mainstream audience
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing creative teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with high‑profile talent and agents
  • Strong understanding of audience measurement, including RAJAR and digital analytics
  • Experience using audience insight and performance data to shape content strategy
  • Outstanding planning, organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of broadcast systems, scheduling and programming software
  • A collaborative leadership style and passion for creating exceptional content
  • A genuine enthusiasm for Greatest Hits Radio, its audience and the wider UK radio landscape
