Position: Midweight Copywriter – Fixed Term Contract
Location: Greater London

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute copy for a variety of channels, including OOH, digital, social, in-app, motion and CRM across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate closely with our design and wider project teams to concept and execute creative copy.
  • Collaborate with strategists and wider project teams to understand target audiences, helping develop Tone of Voice-led copy from key messaging through to campaign execution.
  • Ensure all copy outputs are aligned with our Deliveroo brand tone of voice, maintaining quality and consistency across all assets.
  • Present strategy-aligned creative concepts to internal stakeholders.
  • Work to deadlines and effectively manage your workload, collaborating with project managers and studio team peers to meet key project milestones.
  • Assist senior copywriters and AI specialists with test and refine prompts, reusable workflows for custom GPTs to improve copy quality, consistency, efficiency and campaign performance.
Requirements
  • A copywriter with a real love for words, conceptual thinking and creative problem solving.
  • 4+ years of experience in an in-house or agency creative department.
  • A strong creative portfolio demonstrating an understanding of brand-building copy, storytelling and creative thinking through written communication.
  • Varied experience showing you can adapt copy across a range of channels and audiences.
  • Ability to flex and adapt across a variety of projects, both big and small.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with proven experience communicating with stakeholders and confidently navigating feedback.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate, learn and adapt within a fast-growing business.
  • Driven to inject insight and creativity into even the most functional or conversion-focused copy spaces.
  • Experience using AI-powered creative and copywriting tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or equivalent).
  • An understanding of prompt writing for creative copy outputs.
