Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Greater London

For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions.

Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakable about each one of them.

The 2D Midweight Graphic Designer sits within the Brand & Activation Team, reporting to the 2D Design Manager. While this role focuses on executing smaller scale projects, the 2D Lead Designers will act as a mentor to help the Midweight Designer develop skills, grow in confidence and understand the wider brand and creative standards.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering 2D graphic design across merchandise, logos, packaging graphics and print/digital assets for marketing and sales materials.
  • Creating design assets under the guidance of the 2D Lead, including typography, layouts, vector artwork and photo retouching.
  • Supporting seasonal marketing campaigns, activations, and smaller brand projects from brief to delivery.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external production partners to deliver projects on time and to brand standards.
  • Assisting with packaging artwork, including preparing cutter guides, setting up final artwork and checking proofs.
  • Managing assigned smaller‑scale projects and tasks efficiently, escalating challenges or out‑of‑scope work to the Lead Designer.
  • Maintaining strong attention to detail and ensuring all outputs comply with Jellycat brand guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in 2D graphic design with strong visualisation skills in 3D.
  • Highly competent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with AI design tools to aid design work.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical artwork preparation.
  • Capable of managing multiple smaller projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong typography, layout, and design skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Positive, flexible, and motivated to contribute to a high-performing creative team.
  • Previous experience in luxury or premium brands is desirable but not essential.
