Are you passionate about clarity and committed to a high standard of accuracy in scientific communications?
Oxford Pharma Genesis is looking for a meticulous and energetic Senior Medical Editor. This role is based in our London office, with a hybrid working pattern.
You will havepreviousexperience copy-editing scientific publications and meeting materials, and you will be comfortable working on both print and digital deliverables in a fast-paced environment. This isa great opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive editorial team and to work with talented Medical Writers, Account Manager sand Artwork colleagues on a wide variety of project types.
Key responsibilities- Edit a diverse range of scientific materials, including manuscripts, slide decks, abstracts,poster sand digital materials, in adherence with the relevant style guides.
- Conduct thorough proofreading, including detailed checks of typeset layouts and figure redraws, as well as journal proofs.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to help ensure that projects are delivered by the deadline and to budget.
- Create and update account-specific style guides as needed.
- Attend team meetings, helping to shape workflows, promote best practices and adapt to client needs.
- a science,Englishor related bachelor’s degree
- 3–5 years of experience in healthcare communications or journal publishing, with ideally 1–2 years of focus on editing publications and medical communications deliverables
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
- an exceptional eye for detail, with a strong command of English and knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology
- good working knowledge of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) code of practice and Good Publications Practice (GPP) best practice guidelines
- excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, independently and as a team player
- a positive mindset and a ‛can do’ enthusiastic attitude.
