About Mous

We are Mous. (Pronounced mouse, not moose.) People deserve tech and lifestyle products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised, and empower them to be their best. That’s why we’re building the go-to brand for products that genuinely deliver.

For over 10 years, we’ve pushed product performance to its limits, designing from first principles, validating through real-world testing, and investing millions in R&D. In parallel, we’ve built world‑class in‑house marketing capabilities, creating highly engaging, performance‑led content that proves what our products can do and resonates with a passionate, fast‑growing community around the brand.

From throwing phones off dams to launching category‑defining products, our ambition is simple: raise the standard of the industry and build one of the most effective consumer brands in the world.

About the Role

As our new Senior Manager - Editor, you'll lead our editing team while staying hands‑on with the edit yourself. This is a genuine player‑manager role, not a promotion out of the craft you're good at. You'll personally cut our highest‑priority content, own the editing pipeline end to end, and manage a remote team of editors from day one, balancing your own output with theirs.

You'll work most closely with the Content Strategy Lead, and you'll partner regularly with content production, graphic design and creative strategy. Every channel we publish video on: paid social, organic, You Tube, ecommerce, and Amazon, depends on what comes out of your team.

This is high‑visibility work across major launches and partnerships at a fast‑growing, premium global brand, with direct influence over our creative standards, how the editing team is structured, and how the function scales as content volume grows. The natural path from here is leading the editing function outright as the team and output continue to grow.

About You

You're an editor first, someone who genuinely loves building a story in the edit and has the craft to prove it, but you've outgrown just being the best person on the timeline. You want to raise everyone else's work too, and you get real satisfaction from watching an editor you've coached level up.

You would think commercially as much as creatively that a great cut isn't just satisfying to watch, it's a hook that retains and a number that moves. The opportunity to run a busy, multi‑project pipeline without letting things slip excites you and you are able to stay calm and decisive when a launch deadline is approaching rather than letting the pressure show in your decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership – Line‑manage the editing team: allocate workload, quality‑control output, and run development plans and reviews for each editor.
  • Hands‑On Editing – Personally edit our highest‑priority content, keeping your own craft at the standard you expect from the team.
  • Pipeline Ownership – Own the editing pipeline end to end, keeping a high‑volume, multi‑project workload moving through peak launch periods without slippage.
  • Performance & Iteration – Review performance data on published content and feed it back into how the team edits — hooks, retention, and what to change next time.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with content production, graphic design, and creative strategy teams
How will success be measured?
  • The editing team consistently ships high‑quality, high‑performing content across every channel, on schedule through peak periods
  • Your own edits maintain the standard the team is held to
  • Editors on your team show measurable development against their review plans
  • You would use performance data to actively shape how the team edits and not just report on it
Skills requirements Hard skills
  • Exceptional editing craft — a proven ability to build compelling stories through the edit (Premiere Pro/DaVinci or equivalent)
  • 3+ years’ editing experience across both short‑form and long‑form content
  • Experience managing or mentoring other editors
  • A track record editing performance content, with a real understanding of hooks, retention, and iteration
Soft skills
  • Highly organised — able to run a multi‑project pipeline without slippage
  • Genuinely cares about…
