Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: PR & Marketing Internship  →

LIT.ME Events is looking for a PR and marketing intern to join us in London for two months over the summer, supporting the house across social media, editorial, press and partner relations, and the continued growth of the collective.

There are no departments here, so the week moves between writing, research, outreach and admin, and you will be given real work rather than a shadowing rota. You sit with the founder and the event leads, and you see how a private or corporate booking comes in, gets won and gets delivered.

You will also see things you may not repeat: guest lists, addresses, what people spend. That holds after the placement ends.

Responsibilities
  • Researching DJs, musicians, hosts, photographers and production talent, and drafting the first approach to them
  • Writing and scheduling Instagram content around the events calendar
  • Writing and editing pieces for the site: venue features, guides and interviews
  • Keeping the venue, partner and press records straight, and replying to first enquiries
  • Putting together decks and one-pagers for client pitches
  • Drafting the emails that go to LIT.ME Club clients
  • Pulling the weekly numbers and telling us what you think they mean
  • Working at events now and then, including approved filming and photography
  • Whatever else the week throws up, because it is a small team
Candidate profile

No professional experience needed. These are the things we actually look at:

  • You write clearly, and can write in a voice that is not your own
  • You use Instagram as someone who makes things for it, not only as someone who scrolls it
  • You will send a first email to a stranger, and the follow-up a week later
  • Organised enough to carry several deadlines without being chased
  • Discreet about clients, guests and events without having to be told twice
  • A real interest in London's music, hospitality, nightlife or creative scene
  • In London for the whole placement, and up for the occasional evening or weekend event
What we offer

The placement is paid, and travel and reasonable expenses at events are reimbursed. You will finish with published work you can show, practical experience across the marketing, editorial and talent sides of a working events house, and contacts across London's music, venue and creative scene. If it works both ways, we would rather keep you on than start again.

No previous professional experience is required.

A clear written style, good organisation, discretion, and a genuine interest in London’s music, hospitality, nightlife or creative industries.#J-18808-Ljbffr
