CASTING PRODUCER – CBeebies Series

We're looking for an experienced Casting Producer with CBeebies or preschool experience to join our team at Time For Productions on a new CBeebies preschool series. The role will start late August/early September for an initial 6–8 weeks, with the possibility of extending. Applicants must be available to start within this period; please let us know about any pre-booked leave when applying.

This senior role will take the lead on casting children and families across the UK, working closely with the Series Producers and managing a small casting/research team. We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and brilliant with people, with a strong understanding of casting for CBeebies and experience working sensitively with young children and their families.

Time for Celebrations (20 x 14') is an exciting new series exploring a wide range of celebrations and festivals. Each episode focuses on a different religious or cultural celebration, following 5–6-year-olds and their families as they prepare for the occasion. Along the way, the children take part in age-appropriate activities, helping with the preparations while experiencing the excitement, magic and wonder of celebrating together.

The series is filmed by a small, experienced crew using a child-focused, unobtrusive approach.

We're looking for someone with:
  • Strong Casting Producer experience, including CBeebies or preschool television experience.
  • Excellent experience casting children and families.
  • A passion for finding diverse, authentic contributors from across the UK.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and contributor management skills.
  • Experience managing or overseeing a small casting/research team.
  • An interest in religious and cultural celebrations, and the sensitivity required when working with families from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Ideally, someone comfortable shooting and editing simple casting tapes as part of the casting process.
