Job Description:
This is a full-time, studio based role with daily communication with internal departments;
Design, Atelier, Product Development (incl. Technical) and Production to create and deliver seasonal collection on time.
The role sits within the Pattern Cutting dept and reports to Pattern Cutters and HOD.
Knowledge of Gerber V 14.1 or above is essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Working closely with designers to draft patterns and create pin mock ups on stand
Attendance of development, SMS and pre-production fitting when required
Amend patterns that are production friendly
Costings using GERBER marker making module at send out stage
Accurate measurement of pattern for send out and sealing
Support Pattern Cutting manager in pre-show fitting and communication with Technical team and Atelier.
Working closely with production department to resolve any pattern queries during the production process
Supporting creative pattern cutters during sample send outs within a development season with regards to repeat styles
General pattern room organisation – ordering stationaries, organising toiles and preparing for development fittings
Requirements:
Must come from a similar role, with 2-3 years’ experience within luxury RTW products.
Requires a great attention to detail and a strong understand of pattern cutting.
GERBER experience and use of system
The role requires the candidate to be highly organized, confident on Excel and have a general proactive approach to daily given tasks.
The ideal candidate must be able to work well within a team, willing to learn from the Pattern Team and at the same time be capable of working unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
