About This Role

Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking a creative, multi-skilled and well organised social media and content professional to undertake a key role in the club’s media team.

The successful candidate will, alongside the Senior Social Media and Content Manager, be charged with running the club’s social media output across multiple channels to help meet the club’s objectives of engaging and growing its global fan base as well as meeting the club’s commercial targets.

Every day, the successful applicant will conceive, pitch and deliver innovative content ideas in conjunction with the club’s editorial, video production and graphics team to deliver interesting, accurate, shareable and high-quality club output, whilst reacting to social trends appropriately.

The role will be at the heart of creative content creation but also is responsible for planning and scheduling posts on a day to day basis - ensuring the needs of colleagues across the club are met.

As a member of the wider Marketing department, they will also be tasked with shaping and delivering effective social media campaigns for club departments and external partners. ( such as Retail, Ticketing, Memberships, Commercial Partnerships, Premium Hospitality etc).

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a 'can-do' positive attitude, be willing to work unsociable hours (e.g. weekends and evenings), expectation to work home and away games, be flexible to changing demands in a fast-paced environment, have outstanding people skills. The successful applicant will be proactive, inquisitive, organised and obsessed with all things social media, digital content - and of course, Premier League football.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of all CPFC social media platforms - including weekly scheduling and longer-term planning, copy writing, creating and delivering content, briefing graphics, video and replying to supporter queries, frequency and engagement reporting
  • Vertical content capture for social channels and Official club website and app
  • Expectation to work home and away fixtures
  • Supporting the video and production team to edit imagery and video content to be used on social platforms
  • Developing the club’s social media strategy as the platforms and business evolves
  • Devising and delivering content ideas & campaigns from scratch in line with club objectives
  • Supporting commercial partners and club departments in delivering campaigns through social media
  • Demonstrating excellent, true 'fan engagement' and two-way communication with supporters
  • Reporting on the success of club / partner campaign performance across all social media platforms
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
  • Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills And Qualifications Desirable
  • 2+ years working for a media team in the football industry, including experience running social media accounts
  • A creative mindset / approach
  • A clear understanding of the club’s current social media output
  • Extensive Premier League football knowledge
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro/Cap Cut)
