Description:

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence is the world's largest and most credible platform for prices, IOSCO-assured data, and market intelligence dedicated to the full depth and breadth of energy transition supply chains. Having acquired Rho Motion in 2024, our reporting and analysis now extends from mine to grid with coverage across lithium ion batteries, rare earth elements, battery demand and EV / Energy infrastructure.

Headquartered in London, UK, we have offices and teams strategically located globally.

Overview:

As Senior Designer, you will cover our current Senior Designer who will be on maternity leave. You will play a critical role in shaping how Benchmark communicates complex, data-rich insights to a global audience. Sitting within the Marketing & Design Division, you will be the sole designer and work creatively within our existing design function. You will collaborate with cross-divisional stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Technology, Events, Sales, Editorial and Leadership.

This role requires a mix of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on creative design work. You will define and elevate our visual identity and own delivery of high-impact design initiatives across digital, print, product and events. You'll run the creative vision for Benchmark's brand, translate complex datasets into compelling visual narratives, and ensure world-class design standards company-wide.

This is an ideal role for a designer who is passionate about data storytelling, thrives in fast-paced environments where you are the only design voice in the company, and someone who is excited to shape the next evolution of a global brand in a rapidly scaling sector.

Key responsibilities:
  • Maintain and evolve Benchmark's global visual identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints: digital, print, product, events, and editorial.
  • Oversee production of visually impactful infographics, charts, diagrams and data visualisations that simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Drive innovation in design, ensuring the brand stays modern, distinctive and ahead of industry trends.
  • Oversee design delivery for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring top-tier quality and timely execution.
  • Own the production of all digital assets for web, social, newsletters, marketing campaigns, editorial platforms and major global events.
  • Build and optimise workflows, templates and systems to enhance efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage design budgets, external agencies and freelancers when required.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, Editorial and Events teams to understand design needs, provide creative direction and deliver impactful work.
  • Lead the design execution for strategic, high-visibility projects - from concept to final delivery.
  • Work closely with Technology/Product teams on UI/UX visual consistency using Figma and Zeplin.
  • Review and give feedback on design work at all stages, ensuring everything is polished, professional and aligned to brand standards.
  • Ensure all files are properly prepared and optimised for both digital and print production.
  • Maintain all design documentation, brand guidelines and reference materials, updating as needed.
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Graphic Design or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional design experience with a strong, diverse portfolio.
  • 2+ years leading or managing designers, ideally in a high-growth or data-heavy environment.
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones.
  • Expert proficiency in Powerpoint and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Strong understanding of digital and print production processes.
  • Excellent grasp of typography, colour theory, layout and core design principles.
  • Strong data literacy and ability to translate complex data into compelling visual formats.
  • Familiarity with 3D design tools beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong command of Figma and Zeplin for UI/UX collaboration.
  • Calm, organised and solutions-oriented - able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Strong communicator who can articulate creative ideas clearly to any audience.
  • Proactive self-starter who brings new ideas and elevates the work of those around them.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for maintaining and improving design standards.
Benefits include:
  • 25 Days Holiday (fixed) + 1 day off for your Birthday
