The Empathy Project is a cultural platform dedicated to changing the way people think about other species. We are seeking a creative and organised Social Media Manager to help grow our online presence, engage supporters, and amplify our educational content.

What difference will you make?

The Empathy Project's social media content sculpts its aesthetic language, keeps followers up to date with news and promotes its work. it ensures a wide audience for its educational workshops, its short film, panels, workshop and written content. Working across Instagram and Linkedin, creatively using Canva, iMovie and other design tools, the social media and communicators manager will help ensure The Project's continued impact to create greater understanding, empathy, and respect for other species.

What

are we looking for?
  • Minimum three years' experience in social media marketing
  • Interest in nature and animal rights, education, and social impact
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proven design skills and familiarity with Canva
  • Proven abilities with simple film editing platforms
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.

Remote

What will you be doing?
  • Develop and implement social media content plans in particular, across Instagram and Linkedin
  • Maintain and creatively work with The Empathy Project's current aesthetic
  • Create and schedule 3 Instagram posts and 3 Linkedin posts a week.
  • Edit short film content from podcasts and interviews.
  • Creatively promote the Empathy Project's educational workshops, events, films, articles, and campaigns.
  • Create posts that reflect new developments in animal rights advocacy
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to grow our audience and increase impact.
  • Track basic analytics and report on performance.
