DescriptionAs an Exec Producer (9-month FTC Mat Cover), you are responsible for ensuring that every ITCH project the team produces, meets our high standards, delivers on the client brief, and achieves internal KPIs across pre-production, production, and post-production. You lead the delivery process on your assigned projects from start to finish, acting as the senior producer and main client contact while managing budgets, schedules, and resources with precision.
You are an operational problem-solver and a trusted leader for the production team, guiding Senior Producers, Producers, and Junior Producers, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and ensuring our workflows and processes are followed and improved where needed. During this 9-month maternity cover, you will collaborate closely with Creative & Strategy and Client Services to translate creative concepts into robust production plans, ensuring smooth execution and exceptional delivery across every output.
KeySkills
- 6+ years’ experience in production management or producing, ideally within an agency, production company, or similar creative environment.
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end production across multiple formats (live-action, animation, mixed media).
- Strong leadership skills with 2-3 years experience mentoring and managing production teams.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Skilled in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build trust and manage relationships under pressure.
- A proactive problem-solver with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong understanding of production workflows, compliance, and industry best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with creatives, strategists, and account managers to bring ideas to life.
- Comfortable using production management systems and adopting new tools/technologies.
Leadership & Team Development: 30%
- Model outstanding senior management attributes in how you communicate, show up, and respond under pressure, being consistent in your approach at all times.
- Manage and mentor a growing team, including Senior Producers, Producers, and Junior Producers.
- Act as the go-to senior counsel for shoot delivery within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, looking for simple ways to increase efficiency and create moments of “wow” for clients and internally.
Creative & Production Planning: 40%
- Work with the Creative team to translate ideas and concepts into practical production plans.
- Oversee producer resource and manage producer workloads to ensure project feasibility.
- Collaborate with Creative & Strategy to ensure ambitious ideas are grounded in achievable production approaches.
- Oversee project costings and advise on solutions to ensure project viability.
Client & Commercial: 20%
- Act as the main point of contact with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing proactive updates on timelines and approvals, building strong partnerships, and ensuring smooth communication.
- Support new business by contributing production expertise to pitches, including scoping feasibility, ballpark budgeting, and joining client presentations where required.
- Lead contract negotiation and talent/supplier agreements, ensuring favourable terms, clear usage rights, and strong value for the agency.
- Conduct regular project health checks, ensuring KPIs are on track and reporting trends that may impact future client relationships.
Process & Operations: 10%
