A little bit about our team:
Warner Chappell Music (WCM) is the music publishing division of Warner Music Group. Our UK team is based in London and brings together creative, commercial, operational, legal, financial, data and administrative expertise to support our songwriters and their music. Our teams work closely with one another and with colleagues across WCM’s global network. From discovering and developing talent to managing rights, licensing music, tracking income and paying royalties, every team plays a part in the journey of a song.

Your role:
Are you curious about what happens behind the scenes in the music industry? Want to understand how songwriters are discovered and supported, how their rights are protected, how they get paid and how their music finds new audiences and opportunities? Our paid internship gives you hands‑on experience of music publishing through dedicated rotations designed to align with your strengths and career interests.

We’re offering two distinct pathways:
Creative Pathway:
Focused on talent discovery, creative opportunities, catalogue promotion and commercial placements, rotating across our A&R, Creative Services and Sync teams. Rights & Royalties Pathway:
Focused on rights management, data accuracy and income distribution, rotating across our UK Copyright and UK Royalties teams. During the application process, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us which pathway interests you most. Throughout your internship, you’ll build an understanding of how our teams connect, how decisions made in one part of the business influence another and how we work together to deliver for our songwriters.

You’ll contribute to real work, build relationships across the business and develop skills that will help shape your future career. We believe great ideas come from everywhere. You don’t need to have studied music or worked in the music industry before. If you’re 18 or over, curious, ready to learn and genuinely interested in music and the business behind it, we’d love to hear from you.

Here

you’ll get to:
  • Participate in real projects and contribute to our team’s success
  • Gain hands‑on insight into different areas of music publishing through your chosen pathway
  • Build relationships across departments and learn how we work globally
  • Develop skills in communication, problem‑solving, teamwork and time management
Pathway Rotations:

Rights, Income & Royalties Pathway
  • UK Copyright Bringing Songs to Life:
Register new musical works directly with collection societies (e.g., PRS/MCPS) and set up publishing deals to ensure our songwriters' rights are protected from day one.
  • Solving Data Puzzles:
Audit copyright records to resolve work conflicts, solve society rejections, and handle client rights queries to keep our global music catalogue running smoothly.
  • Global Teamwork:
Collaborate on high‑impact projects with our Global Copyright and Tracking teams to power accurate rights management across international markets.
  • UK Royalties Decoding Music Revenue:
