Our client is seeking a talented Senior Womenswear Jersey Designer to join a friendly and successful, well-established fashion supplier based in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, trend-driven designer with strong experience across casual and formal womenswear jersey. You will have a contemporary and commercial handwriting, with the ability to create fashion-forward product for a variety of customers, including large volume retailers and supermarkets in the UK .
The company offers regular, up-to-date training for designers at all levels, keeping the team up to date with the latest technology, software and developments within the industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing commercial womenswear jersey collections across casual and formal product.
  • Researching trends and translating them into relevant, commercial product.
  • Creating mood boards, trend presentations, CADs and technical packs.
  • Working closely with customers, product development teams and overseas suppliers.
  • Presenting collections and new product ideas to customers.
  • Sourcing fabrics, prints, graphics and trims.
  • Taking designs from initial concept through to sample and production.
  • Keeping up to date with new design technology and digital tools.
Person Specification:
  • Previous experience as a Womenswear Designer or Senior Designer within a supplier environment.
  • Strong experience across casual and formal womenswear jersey.
  • A commercial, contemporary and trend-led portfolio.
  • Strong understanding of fabric, fit, silhouette and styling.
  • Good knowledge of current fashion and retail trends.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Organised, creative and able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident communicating and presenting to customers and internal teams.
  • Keen to learn and embrace new technology and ways of working.
