Are you a trend-driven Womenswear Designer with a strong handwriting for the younger fashion customer? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for creating commercially successful jersey product for leading high street retailers?
Our client, one of the UK's leading specialist high street fashion manufacturers and suppliers, is looking to appoint a talented Mid-Weight to Senior Womenswear Designer to join their growing London-based design team.
This is an exciting newly created role due to continued business growth and the expansion of key customer accounts, offering excellent long-term career progression within a large and highly successful design function.

• Designing trend-led womenswear jersey and woven ranges for high street retailers
• Identifying and interpreting emerging fashion trends, colours, fabrics and silhouettes
• Creating CADs, technical packs and presentation boards
• Developing seasonal concepts and product strategies
• Working closely with customers to understand briefs and present new ideas
• Liaising with product development and manufacturing teams throughout the development process
• Attending customer meetings and trend shopping trips
• Monitoring competitor activity and market trends to ensure collections remain commercially relevant

• Recent experience within a womenswear design role, ideally gained with a supplier
• Strong jersey product experience is essential
• A commercial design handwriting aligned to the younger fast fashion market
• Excellent trend forecasting and research skills
• Strong CAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills
• Ability to work at pace and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach with a genuine passion for fashion
• Commutable to London and eligible to work in the UK
