We are a small creative team, and we are looking for a passionate creative who wants to help and inspire young children!

We run after-school clubs and holiday courses that provide children with opportunities to explore their photography skills and imagination using professional cameras and editing equipment.

You have the freedom to design your own course and teach it yourself with one assistant. If you don’t wish to design your own course, we are happy to provide prior course plans that have been successful with our students! We need someone young and bursting with creativity and energy who loves teaching children and is looking to inspire the next generation of photographers!
  • The after-school clubs pay £25/hour. We typically have 3-4 after-school clubs every week that we teach at and are looking for a confident photographer who can go to these schools and teach a group of children (Year 5 or Year
    6) for an hour after school. You will be provided with prior lesson plans that have been successful in the past, your job will be to teach and inspire these young people and keep it lighthearted and fun.
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay:
We are a charity organisation so we are based on a volunteering pay rate but this is a very competitive rate and above London Living Wage.
  • Fully equipped:
All teaching materials, resources, and spaces are provided! We have Olympus cameras and an editing studio with 10 iMac’s that contain editing software such as Adobe Lightroom.
  • Supportive community:
Connect with a vibrant network of fellow creative people based in London to share tips and ideas and connect and network with like-minded creatives. Work alongside Fashion and Editorial photographer Debbi Clark, who is our CEO and Founder!
Skills and Experience Required
  • Childcare confidence: A natural ability and confidence working with children (no formal teaching qualification required).
  • Reliable commitment:
Able to commit to teaching at least a one-week course during half term or school holidays. And/Or be able to commit to teaching 2-4 after school sessions per week.
  • Compliance:
Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to let us apply for one on your behalf) and complete safeguarding documentation.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Photography:
Must know how to use a professional camera, and be confident with covering an in-depth understanding of the camera and lighting, while aiding student’s development of their own voice using photography. We explore many genres of photography so that students can find their space in the medium. You must have a good background of photography, but it is not a requirement to be good at all genres of photography, as long as you can communicate a good passion and excitement for it.

This is an opportunity for you to explore your voice and medium as much as it is for the students.
  • Creative Freedom:
You will be allowed creative freedom to run your own workshops with us and explore different styles of photography and exciting activities that inspire and build knowledge of the photography world for our young people. This is a chance to understand and explore your expertise and passion as a photographer!
