Video Editing - Healthcare Podcast

Salary Starting at £18 per hour (can increase to full time role)

Contar AI is looking for a talented and creative Video Editor to support the production ofa healthcare-focused podcast exploring innovation, transformation and the people shaping the future of healthcare.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of video post-production, working across full-length podcast episodes, promotional trailers and engaging short-form content for digital and social platforms.

The role is initially part-time, with the potential to develop into a full-time creative position as Contar continues to grow.

• Podcast editing: Edit full-length video podcast episodes into polished, engaging content, including multi-camera editing, transitions, pacing and visual storytelling.
• Short-form content: Produce engaging clips, highlights and teasers optimised for Linked In, You Tube Shorts, Instagram and other platforms.
• Trailers and promotional videos: Develop compelling trailers and promotional edits for individual episodes and the wider podcast series.
• Motion graphics and branding: Incorporate titles, captions, lower thirds, transitions and branded visual elements.
• Creative storytelling: Identify the strongest moments, key messages and interesting discussions to turn long-form conversations into engaging narratives.
• AI-powered workflows: Explore and use emerging AI tools to enhance editing, captioning, audio enhancement and post-production efficiency.
• Content management: Organise footage, maintain project files, manage revisions and deliver final assets in the required formats.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Contar creative team, incorporate client feedback and deliver high-quality content to agreed deadlines.
• Additional projects: Opportunity to support other Contar filmmaking, digital storytelling and creative production projects as the role develops.

• Strong video editing skills, with experience using Descript (preferred) or other tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar software.
• A good understanding of video storytelling, narrative structure, pacing and audience engagement.
• Experience creating short-form social media content and adapting videos for different formats.
• An eye for typography, composition, transitions and visual consistency.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and willingness to take feedback.
• A passion for AI, emerging creative technologies and innovative filmmaking techniques.
