Temporary Accommodation Reduction Officer

Position: Temporary Accommodation Reduction Officer (Contract)
Location: Greater London

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Reduction Officer for a Local Authority Client in East London.

In this role, you will help reduce the need for temporary accommodation by swiftly matching customers to suitable private rented housing and supporting timely, sustainable move-on options.

Duties:

Match customers quickly and effectively to suitable private rented properties through our housing schemes.
Prevent admissions into temporary accommodation by making timely, proactive housing offers.
Support households to move on from temporary accommodation using a range of private sector options.
Build strong relationships with landlords and partners to maintain a steady supply of quality  and

Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

Experience working in housing, homelessness prevention, or related support services.
Proven ability to manage cases and make timely, outcome-focused decisions.
Experience building and maintaining positive relationships with landlords or external partners.
Strong background in providing customer-facing support to vulnerable households.

What's on offer:

Salary: £25

* may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience
* Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
