Receptionist for George Northwood Salon – W1 Overview
Since its launch in 2014, George Northwood has become a well‑known name in London’s hair scene. We are looking for a receptionist to join our Fitzrovia salon as an integral part of our front‑of‑house team.
You will be responsible for managing the client journey from booking to payment, acting as the first point of contact for a diverse clientele.
Working HoursTuesday to Saturday – 9 am to 6 pm
LocationPrimarily London W1 with the possibility of supporting other George Northwood salons.
RemunerationSalary based on experience.
Job TypePermanent / Full‑time role.
Education and ExperienceComputer‑literacy and strong communication skills. Receptionist or front‑of‑house experience essential. Comfortable interacting with high‑end clients in a service‑oriented environment.
Role PurposeWork alongside another receptionist to support the George Northwood team and provide exceptional assistance to clients and colleagues.
Maintain staff calendars, greet clients, handle queries, and manage the salon’s day‑to‑day operations.
Responsibilities- Master opening and closing procedures.
- Take client bookings and manage the appointment calendar.
- Greet and welcome clients and service providers.
- Process payments and manage the till accurately.
- Coordinate stylist availability to maximise productivity.
- Answer phone calls and manage check‑ins.
- Provide accurate information on services.
- Communicate clearly with team members.
- Resolve client issues tactfully and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and tidy front desk.
- Represent the brand with an approachable and professional manner.
- Adapt quickly to last‑minute schedule changes.
- Support the team and maintain a positive work environment.
Deliver the highest standards of customer service in person and electronically.
AdministrationComplete any administrative tasks promptly and accurately.
RequirementsOrganised, proactive, and able to stay calm in a fast‑paced environment. Comfortable dealing with clients at all levels, including premium clientele. Excellent time‑management skills and a flexible attitude – occasional off‑hours are required.
