Role overviewWe are seeking a proactive and customer‑focused individual to join the University of Sunderland in London as a Visitor Services Associate
.
This role provides a key front‑of‑house presence, acting as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, delivering a responsive, professional and welcoming service.
The successful candidate will bring excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities and the confidence to manage a busy reception environment, ensuring a high‑quality experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a professional and welcoming front‑of‑house service to all visitors
- Provide accurate information and resolve queries or elevate where needed
- Manage reception operations, including visitor flow and maintaining a professional environment
- Support building access and security processes
- Maintain accurate records and update systems in a timely manner
- Support key student activities and work collaboratively with internal teams
- Experience in a customer‑facing environment delivering high‑quality service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage competing demands in a busy environment
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and systems use
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and reliability
- Experience in a higher education or similar environment
- Experience supporting events or student‑focused activities
Based in Canary Wharf, the University of Sunderland in London is a dynamic campus delivering year‑round education with multiple student intakes. Our professional services teams play a vital role in supporting student success.
