Overview
A Housing Association is currently looking for an office-based Senior Housing Officer on a temporary basis for about three months.
Responsibilities- Provide an excellent, empathetic and personal housing management service to residents, being responsible and accountable to residents.
- Communicate regularly with each resident at home and ensure issues raised are resolved appropriately.
- Work creatively on your own and as part of a wider team, including the customer service centre and Asset’s team.
- Connect with tenants in their communities to offer the right support to sustain tenancies and help residents be happy in their homes and live well.
- Keep promises to tenants by replying within agreed timescales and completing tasks, and follow safeguarding procedures while working with external statutory authorities to keep residents safe.
- Manage tenancies to address unacceptable behaviour in an open and constructive manner.
- Collaborate with residents to provide the right support to sustain tenancies.
- Manage void properties to be ready to let to the standard, including specifying work orders on standard voids.
- Follow lettings procedures to ensure an effective audit trail.
- Identify support needs and effective partners to assist tenants at the start of their tenancy.
- Manage landlord repair requests through Workwise, ensuring work is completed to residents’ satisfaction.
- Authorise work orders within budget.
- Collaborate with Asset Management colleagues to resolve complex repairs in a timely manner.
- Complete all actions in Workwise weekly to ensure effective rent and service charge collection and debt management.
- Account for services to ensure service charges are transparent and fair to residents.
- Set service charges with support from the central service team.
- Arrange to meet residents in their home to understand their needs and desires for the future; identify any repairs needed and record them.
- Note:
this role is 100% office-based.
This role pays £23.07 PAYE umbrella rate £30.50.
Qualifications- Must have a consistent work history as a Senior Housing Officer within social housing.
- Excellent communicator.
- Able to work in West London.
- Must be immediately available or on short notice.
