We are recruiting for a  Senior Hire Controller  to join a growing depot team in Park Royal. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a  tool hire, plant hire, access hire, or equipment hire background  who enjoys building strong customer relationships, solving problems, and helping a busy hire desk run smoothly.

About the Role  As a Senior Hire Controller, you will be a key part of the depot operation, managing customer relationships, supporting the hire desk team, and ensuring every hire runs smoothly from enquiry through to completion.
You will become a trusted point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, managing complex requirements, and working closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent service.

Key Responsibilities    Manage the full hire process from initial enquiry through to completion

Prepare quotations, process contracts, manage extensions, off-hires, exchanges, and account queries

Build strong relationships with key customers and provide a high level of service

Handle more complex customer requirements and find practical solutions

Work closely with transport, workshop, and yard teams to coordinate deliveries, collections, and equipment availability

Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and support repeat business

Support colleagues and share knowledge within the hire desk team

Assist the management team with operational challenges and improvements

Help maintain a smooth and efficient depot operation

About You  The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience within a Hire Controller, Senior Hire Controller, or Hire Desk role

A background in tool hire, plant hire, access hire, equipment hire, or a similar environment

Strong knowledge of hire processes and customer account management

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues

Experience supporting others, mentoring colleagues, or taking ownership of key tasks

Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a busy workload

A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering solutions

Confidence using hire systems and IT platforms

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for customer service
