Shakespeare’s Globe is currently seeking a Casual Ticketing and Sales Duty Manager to provide weekend cover.

The role:
Casual Ticketing and Sales Duty Managers provide essential weekend operational support to the Ticketing and Sales team, ensuring the highest quality of service is delivered to our patrons, customers and staff.
Working primarily across weekends and busy performance days, the role provides a key point of leadership within the department, supporting the smooth running of the Box Office and Ticketing operation. The postholder will assist customers with ticketing enquiries, resolve issues as they arise, and ensure our visitors receive a welcoming and efficient service.
The Casual Ticketing and Sales Duty Manager will support the Ticketing and Sales Management team by overseeing day-to-day operations, supervising colleagues during shifts, and acting as a point of contact for the team in the absence of the Ticketing and Sales Managers. They will also advise customers on all of the Globe’s activities by selling and actively promoting our wide range of performances, events, education activities, memberships and visitor experiences.
This role is ideal for someone with strong box office or customer service experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced cultural environment and is confident taking responsibility for weekend operations.
The Skills:
- Experience in team management, supervision or leading colleagues, with a demonstrable drive to deliver a first-class operation.
- Box Office experience, with knowledge of Tessitura or similar ticketing/data management systems.
- Availability and flexibility to work regular weekend shifts, including busy performance days and events.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
- A practical and supportive approach to problem solving, remaining calm and focused under pressure.
- Knowledge and understanding of the ticketing, theatre or visitor attraction sector.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to support a diverse range of visitors.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, both personally and in supporting the development of colleagues and services.
- An understanding of, and commitment to, the Globe’s mission and values.
- A supportive and collaborative approach to leadership.

The Team:
The Ticketing and Sales Team work across all areas of The Globe to promote and sell tickets for theatre performances, education events, workshops and guided tours. The team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and accessible experience for our visitors, working closely with departments including Membership, Access and Visitor Experience.
