Technical Customer Advisor Hook, Hampshire Part-Time | 20 Hours Per Week (Monday-Friday) £14,248 per annum  Bonus  Benefits (£13.70 per hour) The Opportunity A specialist construction products manufacturer is looking to recruit a Technical Customer Advisor to join a small, friendly team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a varied position that combines customer service, quotations, technical support and product advice.

The successful person will become a key point of contact for customers, helping them through the process from initial enquiry through to quotation and product selection. This is not a hard sales position and no cold calling is involved. Customers come to you for advice and support, and full product training will be provided.

The Role Working as part of a close-knit team, responsibilities will include:
Answering inbound customer enquiries by phone and email. Providing technical advice and product guidance. Preparing quotations and product specifications. Producing basic technical drawings and layouts. Assisting customers with product selection and installation guidance. Building strong relationships with customers and contractors. Maintaining accurate customer records and documentation. Supporting customers with technical queries and troubleshooting. Learning and developing detailed knowledge of specialist construction products.

The role is highly varied, with no two days being the same. Some days may be focused on customer enquiries and technical advice, whilst others may be spent preparing quotations, drawings and specifications. What We're Looking For We are open to a variety of backgrounds and recognise that this is a specialist role where full product training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous customer service, customer support or sales support experience. Excellent communication skills and a friendly telephone manner. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Confidence dealing with customers and solving problems. The willingness to learn technical information and product knowledge. Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office. A positive, proactive and team-focused attitude. Experience producing quotations, working with technical products, construction products, building materials, bathrooms, kitchens, trade supply or customer support environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
