A busy and well-regarded London Local Authority is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Service Advisors to join their expanding Contact Centre team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable local government experience, make a real difference to residents, and develop a long-term career within a supportive organisation.
The Role As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for residents, providing advice, support and information across a variety of council services. You'll handle enquiries by phone, email and digital channels, helping customers access the services they need quickly and efficiently. You'll have the opportunity to work across a range of service areas including:
Environment & Neighbourhood Recycling and waste services Fly-tipping and street cleansing Pest control Environmental health Noise nuisance complaints Planning and building control Electoral services Housing Customer Services Council tenancy enquiries Housing repairs Rent and tenancy matters Homelessness support Housing applications and housing register enquiries Adult Social Care Supporting vulnerable adults and their families Signposting residents to support services Assisting with referrals and safeguarding enquiries Providing guidance on care and support options Housing Benefits Housing Benefit enquiries Council Tax Support New applications and changes in circumstances General financial support guidance Who We're Looking For We welcome applications from:

You will have:
Excellent communication skills A positive and professional attitude Strong listening and problem-solving abilities Good IT skills A genuine desire to help people The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly Previous call centre or customer service experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
