Pattern: Monday–Friday, during core operational hours, 24/7 Careline service coverage,May occasionally require out-of-hours / emergency duties

PAYE Pay Rate: £21.52 per hour

Purpose:


To provide a 24/7 emergency call-handling and visiting service, responding to Careline alarms and emergency calls, assessing needs and coordinating appropriate support.

• Answer and assess emergency telephone and alarm calls.
• Prioritise emergencies and contact relevant services.
• Visit service users where required and provide practical/emotional support.
• Respond to housing repairs and emergency housing needs.
• Install telecare alarms and equipment.
• Maintain accurate computerised records.
• Liaise with emergency services, care agencies, keyholders and next of kin.
• Support out-of-hours homelessness and emergency situations.

• Emergency call handling and response.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Safeguarding and customer care.
• Problem-solving and decision-making.
• Accurate record keeping and IT skills.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and stakeholders.

• Experience in a Careline, emergency response, housing, care or support environment.
• Ability to assess emergency situations and make appropriate decisions.
• Ability to undertake emergency home visits.
• Good IT and record-keeping skills.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Flexibility to work 4 out of 8 bank holidays and occasional out-of-hours duties.
