Full‑time Band 4 Dental Nurse in Community Dental Services at Shrewsbury Dental Clinic, Inner North East London (INEL). Responsible for delivering high‑quality care across Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham, including Sedation, Special Care Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Domiciliary care, Bariatric care and Mobile dental services for homeless and medium secure units.
Main duties of the jobYou will deliver high‑quality customer service to patients and visitors, provide chair‑side assistance, visit patients in community settings, support reception, and assist the entire dental team.
- Organise dental kits and materials for domiciliary visits.
- Support day‑to‑day clinic operations and implement service initiatives to maintain compliance with regulatory standards (CQC, Dental Practice Inspections, SOPs, Health & Safety).
- Ensure standardised practices across all sites.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and work independently, pro‑actively and under pressure.
The role is peripatetic and will cover all dental sites in INEL, with responsibilities directed by the Dental Nurse Team Leader.
Qualifications- QCF Level 3 in Oral Health/Dental Nursing (NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship, BTEC or equivalent). Functional Skills at Level 2 (literacy and numeracy / GCSE A–C).
- Registered with the General Dental Council.
- Experience of radiology and a qualification in RA/IV advantageous.
- Proficient in IT systems and databases.
- Work well under pressure, prioritise care delivery and organise work in line with trust policies.
- Awareness of developments within the NHS and up‑to‑date clinical practice.

£27,485 to £30,162 per year + 20% HCA payment, pro rata, per annum.
