Dental Lab Administrator

Job Title: Dental Lab Administrator

Reporting To: Practice Manager / Lab Manager

Location: Remote

Hours: Part‑Time, 4 hours per day

Contract: Self‑Employed

Purpose of Role

To provide administrative support to the dental lab and ensure smooth coordination between dentists, lab technicians, and patients, while allowing flexibility in working hours and location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lab Case Management
    • Receive, track, and log dental lab cases.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing.
    • Communicate case status to dentists and lab technicians.
  • Administrative Support
    • Maintain accurate records and files for all lab cases.
    • Handle emails, phone calls, and queries related to lab work.
    • Manage office supplies and lab inventory where applicable.
  • Communication & Coordination
    • Liaise with dental technicians and internal staff to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Update systems and logs for lab turnaround times.
    • Assist in reporting and scheduling as required.
Person Specification
  • Experience in dental administration or laboratory coordination preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with dental software (Dentally) is advantageous.
  • Reliable, proactive, and flexible, comfortable working remotely or on‑site.
