We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, with a focus on Paediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry, to contribute to our high-quality teaching and scholarship. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the education of future dental professionals and be part of a vibrant academic community.
Key Duties- Contribute to the teaching and delivery of the BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Therapy Undergraduate Programme, including clinical supervision.
- Provide academic and personal support to students.
- Support student recruitment and admissions in the subject area.
- Professional Membership/Registration with the GDC is an essential requirement.
- Candidate with a Diploma or equivalent/higher qualification in Dental Hygiene or Dental Therapy.
- At least three years of postgraduate clinical experience in dental hygiene and therapy.
- Experience in teaching within a classroom and clinical setting.
- Strong record in pedagogy and student support.
- Higher education teaching accreditation (Associate Fellow or Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) or in the process of obtaining it.
- Postgraduate qualification in science, dental, or education is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to develop funding proposals, and to build relationships and manage conflicts positively.
