King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of roughly £2.1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 14,000 staff based across five main sites in South East London. The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services and specialist services from the King’s College Hospital sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital in the London Borough of Bromley.
We encourage all our staff to have a healthy work/life balance. In doing so, you can apply for flexible working from the beginning of your employment, with a range of options designed to suit different circumstances and priorities in line with service requirements.
Applications are invited to apply for a fixed‑term 12‑month, part‑time 0.6 WTE consultant post in orthodontics at King’s College Dental Institute, Denmark Hill and Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup. The post has arisen due to the retirement and dropping sessions of some consultants. It offers an exciting opportunity to join a large, experienced, and supportive team of 14 consultants across both sites.
The King’s orthodontic service is recognised for its multidisciplinary approach, with dedicated orthognathic, hypodontia, orthodontic‑restorative, paediatric‑oral surgery, and sleep aponea joint clinics. The service is supported by good clinical, dental/OMFS laboratories, digital facilities and a dental nursing team on both sites. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to contribute to high‑quality patient care, in addition to orthodontic teaching and training of King’s College London undergraduates and postgraduates, and HEE StR & Post‑CCST registrars.
