The main purpose of this post is to provide comprehensive training and develop expertise in all areas of complex inflammatory bowel disease. This post is best suited to a candidate aspiring to a sub-speciality career in IBD.

The postholder will be joining one of the largest IBD units in the UK alongside a diverse team of specialists, including dietitians, clinical nurse specialists, GI surgeons, and mental health professionals, to provide cutting edge, evidence-based, patient-centred care to over 6500 patients.

This unique opportunity will provide training in complex IBD including perianal Crohn’s, treatment refractory disease, pregnancy, adolescent (13+), peri-operative management and IBD endoscopy including surveillance, pouch assessment and ileoscopy.

The postholder will contribute to high-quality clinical research and the development of guidelines that change care across London.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to have broad experience of general gastroenterology disorders including independent gastroscopy and ideally diagnostic colonic.
