This full-time apprenticeship position will allow you to gain valuable hands‑on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification, supported by experienced dental professionals.
As a Dental Nurse Apprentice, you will work closely alongside the dentist, assisting with a variety of dental procedures and helping to deliver outstanding patient care and a positive patient experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DOYour responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and welcoming patients
- Assisting the dentist chairside during a variety of treatments
- Preparing the surgery before treatments
- Stocking and organising the surgery
- Charting and maintaining patient records
- Mixing dental materials as instructed
- Booking patient appointments
- Processing radiographs (subject to training and certification)
- Sterilising and decontaminating instruments
- Managing infection prevention and control procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy clinical environment
- Supporting day-to-day operations
- Working alongside experienced staff members
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development
During your apprenticeship, you will:
- Receive in‑house training and support from experienced professionals
- Complete at least 20% off‑the‑job training
- Study the Dental Nurse (GDC 2023) apprenticeship standard
- Gain hands‑on experience in a real working environment
- Work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing
- Become eligible to register with the General Dental Council (GDC) upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
- GCSE English (Grade A–C / 4–9)
- GCSE Mathematics (Grade A–C / 4–9)
