We are recruiting a Research Assistant in Newborn Health Financing to develop national investment cases for small and sick newborn care, and applying an existing template in focus countries.
The post-holder must have a first degree in the field of economics/health economics or relevant public health related field. High-level quantitative skills are required, with a strong record of policy interaction - particularly in social protection and out-of-pocket payments by families - and ideally experience of national or multi-country investment case development. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed-term for 12 months. The post is funded by a consortium of private foundations including the Gates Foundation, and the ELMA foundation and the prime grant holder is Rice
360. The post is available immediately.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,984 - £45,728 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting).The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary Wellbeing Days .

The post is based in London at LSHTM or Nairobi, Kenya.
