YT Realty Group Limited (Stock Code: 0075) is a publicly listed Hong Kong property development and investment company, renowned for pioneering excellence in premium residential and commercial assets. As we embark on an ambitious phase of overseas expansion, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Coordinator to join us. The role will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, external design consultants (architects, interior designers, landscape architects), contractors, and planning authorities.

You will ensure the smooth delivery of design phases for residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate projects, from concept development through to construction handover. The ideal candidate will have a background in design or architecture, paired with hands-on experience in real estate project coordination.

Key Responsibilities Design Phase Coordination
  • Support the design team in managing project timelines, deliverables, and milestones across concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation stages.
  • Track and collate design submissions (drawings, specifications, 3D renders) from external consultants; ensure compliance with project brief, planning regulations, and brand standards.
  • Coordinate design review meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution of queries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the design team, project management, construction, sales, and marketing departments to align design outcomes with business objectives.
  • Liaise with local planning authorities to clarify design requirements, submit pre-application queries, and support planning permission submissions.
  • Facilitate communication between consultants and contractors to resolve design-related issues during construction, ensuring design intent is maintained.
Documentation & Administration
  • Maintain a centralized design document management system (e.g., BIM 360, SharePoint) to organize drawings, revisions, RFIs (Requests for Information), and design change orders.
  • Prepare and distribute design packages to internal and external stakeholders; track document versions and ensure all parties work with the latest approved materials.
  • Assist in compiling design handover documentation for the construction and facilities management teams.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure design deliverables meet technical standards, building codes, accessibility regulations (e.g., UK Part M), and sustainability targets (e.g., BREEAM).
  • Support the Senior Design Manager in conducting design audits and resolving non-conformances.
  • Ensure alignment with client requirements and brand guidelines for residential/commercial unit finishes and layouts.
Project Support
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates for design-related works and track design budgets to avoid overruns.
  • Contribute to the development of project design briefs and assist in evaluating consultant proposals.
  • Attend site visits as required to observe construction progress and verify design implementation.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., RIBA Part 1/2, CIOB Associate) is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in design coordination, preferably within the UK real estate or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of supporting design phases for residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
  • Familiarity with UK planning regulations, building codes, and sustainability frameworks (BREEAM, Passivhaus) is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up) and document management tools; knowledge of BIM processes is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design outcomes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Good numerical skills for budget tracking and cost estimation support.
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English is a MUST
