🏢 Hybrid working – up to 4 days in the studio (typically 3 post-probation)
A well-established, mid-sized interior design studio is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join its London team. The practice works across a range of sectors with a strong focus on commercial interiors
, delivering design‑led, well-considered and technically robust projects. The studio offers a collaborative, supportive environment with real scope for ownership and progression.
This role is ideal for a senior-level designer who enjoys taking responsibility and leading projects through concept to delivery. You’ll be involved across all stages of the design process, working closely with senior team members while also supporting and mentoring junior designers.
What you’ll be doing- Leading commercial interior and fit‑out projects from concept through to completion
- Producing design concepts, presentations and technical drawing packages
- Managing space planning, detailing, schedules and coordination with consultants
- Attending and leading client, contractor and site meetings
- Carrying out site visits, reporting and snagging
- Supporting studio standards and mentoring junior team members
- Degree-qualified in interior design, interior architecture or architecture
- Around 8+ years’ UK experience in commercial interiors
- Strong Vectorworks proficiency (essential)
- Confident producing detailed technical drawing packages with minimal oversight
Experience coordinating with building services and consultants - Solid knowledge of UK building regulations for commercial fit‑out
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects
- Clear communicator with client-facing experience
- Background in refurbishment or retrofit projects is a strong advantage
- Retail or mixed‑use commercial project exposure
- Sketch Up, Enscape or other visualisation tools
- Hybrid working with a strong studio‑first approach
- Flexible hours (core hours 10am–4pm)
- Exposure to all stages of project delivery
