Product Designer (Early Career) - Mobile App

Join us in designing the future of grocery shopping. As a Product Designer in our consumer team, you'll own the design of our core mobile app, shaping the daily shopping experience for hundreds of thousands of people in The Netherlands, Germany and France. You'll tackle the unique challenge of designing for a task that is frequent, personal, and central to our customers' lives.

You'll be part of a dedicated product team and our wider UX Guild, a creative community that ensures a world-class user experience across Picnic. We’re looking for a passionate designer to join our Amsterdam HQ and help build a product people genuinely love, in a fast-scaling environment that values autonomy, collaboration, and adaptability over rigid processes.

Tricks of the trade

Have the autonomy to own the design of new features from beginning to end. Everything you do matters and will be developed and tested at a fast pace.

Sharpen project briefs based on explorative research together with UX researchers and product owners.

Build low and high fidelity prototypes to be tested and evaluated on a weekly basis with real users.

Document the final design requirements on interaction and UI level to brief and support developers during the development phase.

Learn and grow through the continuous feedback and mentoring by seasoned UX designers and researchers.

Support the development and maintenance of our design libraries and system.

Continuously explore new ideas in order to initiate new projects and improvements, design is never done ;).

Your superpowers
  • You have a completed degree in a relevant design field (e.g. CMD, UX, Interaction or Product Design)
  • You have 0-3 years of experience as a UX designer and have worked on or have a strong interest in building great products
  • Your portfolio has user-centered design cases that show your problem solving capabilities
  • You have a deep curiosity to understand our customers and have hands‑on experience in exploratory research to discover and define user problems from scratch
  • You know your way around Figma and are able to craft high‑fidelity designs that fit into our design system
  • You bring a low‑ego, collaborative mindset and enjoy building solutions together
  • You’re fluent in English and holder of an EU work permit
  • You’re open to work on‑site fulltime
