Position: Project Manager - 3 Year Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Greater London

We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated client‑side Project Manager to work with our specialist consultants and contractors on Major Projects at the Tower of London.

The Major Projects team delivers transformational schemes and long‑term masterplans across sites, which incorporate a wide portfolio of works including education and learning provision, retail and catering spaces, exhibitions and interior re‑representations and garden restoration works.

This particular role specifically relates to the ambitious portfolio for creating new learning and community spaces, programmed over the next three years at the Tower.

You will be part of a team of building surveyors, specialists and architects who are responsible for managing the conservation, conversion and refurbishment of selected buildings within the Tower of London Estate that form this suite of education projects. Reporting to the Head of Projects, but with shared links to the Tomorrow’s Tower Sponsor you will be directly involved in projects at varying stages from design to tender, construction and post‑completion.

Stakeholder management including reporting to Project Boards and liaison with planning officers & the Historic England Inspectorate all form part of the role.

The ability to work within a team and deliver projects to time, cost and quality criteria is essential. A Building Surveying, Project Management or Architectural Degree and professional qualification will be supported by relevant practical experience, including knowledge of conservation policy and contract administration. We are looking for a collaborative, highly organised and self‑motivated Project Manager with strong stakeholder management and communication skills and a sound grasp of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Project).

AutoCAD proficiency is preferred but not essential. You will show an interest in Historic Royal Palaces, what we do, and the needs of our visitors.
