Design Manager

Location: Greater London

Our client is a specialist façade and building envelope contractor delivering technically detailed façade packages across the commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Design Manager to oversee the design process from tender stage through to construction and handover. This role would suit someone with strong façade, cladding, curtain walling or external envelope experience who can manage design teams, coordinate technical information and liaise confidently with clients, consultants and project teams.

Roles/Responsibilities

· Manage the façade design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.

· Coordinate design information between clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

· Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design programmes.

· Lead design meetings and ensure technical queries are resolved efficiently.

· Oversee drawing production, design approvals and information release schedules.

· Ensure designs are compliant with project specifications, building regulations and relevant industry standards.

· Support project teams with technical advice throughout the construction phase.

· Identify design risks early and work with the wider team to provide practical solutions.
