About the role
Join a widely recognised design studio as a Senior Interior Architect / Interior Designer, delivering exceptional private residential, commercial residential and hospitality projects across the UK and internationally. This is an opportunity to lead projects from concept through to installation, taking ownership of both interior architecture and design whilst working closely with senior leadership and a talented multidisciplinary team. The role offers significant responsibility, creative input and the opportunity to contribute to a portfolio of high-profile, design-led projects.
You will be responsible for developing design concepts, producing detailed drawing packages and coordinating consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. Alongside project delivery, you will support and mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture. The position would suit a confident and experienced designer who enjoys balancing creativity with technical delivery and takes pride in seeing projects realised on site.
The role also offers opportunities to travel internationally for client meetings, site visits and project installations, providing valuable exposure to projects from concept through to completion.
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering luxury residential and/or hospitality projects.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in both Interior Architecture and FF&E design.
- Experience leading projects through all RIBA stages, from concept design through to completion.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to independently produce detailed drawing packages.
- Strong technical understanding of architectural detailing, bespoke joinery and FF&E construction.
- Experience preparing tender packages, schedules, specifications and construction documentation.
- Confident managing procurement processes, supplier coordination and project installations.
- Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, fabrics, decorative lighting, sanitaryware, ironmongery and bespoke furniture.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to confidently present concepts and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, fabricators and specialist suppliers throughout project delivery.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop. Sketch Up or 3D visualisation software experience would be advantageous.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of project budgets, procurement and programme management.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members while contributing positively to the wider studio culture.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and interior design project delivery.
